Note: This position is for a position through the San Francisco Study Center to work at Project Homeless Connect's Growing Home Community Garden's Seeding Resilience Project.
Job Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Growing Home Community Garden (GHCG) Program Manager, the Office Assistant will assist with the paperwork, grant reporting and communication related to the GHCG. GHCG's mission is to provide a community garden where both homeless and house San Franciscans work side-by-side to grow nutritious food, access green space and build community.
GHCG is a project of Project Homeless Connect (PHC), in collaboration with the Department of Public Heiath, Department of Public Works, San Francisco Clean City Coalition, Farms to Grow, the Hayes Valley Neighborhood Association, and many others, are working to make Growing Home a functional, sustainable and educational green space while increasing efficient use of the city's resources for our homeless population.
Compensation: This is a 10 hour a week position at the rate of $16 an hour. We have the ability to give the applicant a significant number of additional hours through the end of June to help with events. Please let us know if you'd be interested in working additional hours in May and June.
